Anti ragging committee
Ragging in all its forms is totally prohibited in the College campus including its departments, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, canteen, etc.) whether located within the campus or outside. Anyone found guilty of ragging and / or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force. PKR ensures a congenial and welcoming environment to the freshers. To achieve this objective a committee has been formed by the Institute as per UGC Regulation 2009:

Roles and Responsibilities of Committee
- To ensure compliance with the provision of UGC regulation 2009 at the institute level
- To create awareness about the Ragging Complaint box kept in the prominent place in the college.
- To monitor and oversee the performance of anti ragging squad in prevention of ragging in the institution
- To make surprise raids on hostels and other places vulnerable to incidents of and having the potential of ragging.
- Conduct orientation programme for the first year students in the beginning of the academic year and instruct them on the issues and steps taken by the institution to curb ragging
- To monitor the College bus trips by the faculty in the bus
- To conduct on the spot enquiry in to any incident of ragging
Administrative Action in the event of Ragging
Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the institution, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be any one or any combination of the following.
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges
- Withholding / withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits
- Debarring from appearing in any test / examination or other evaluation process
- Withholding results
- Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.,
- Suspension / expulsion from the hostel
- Cancellation of admission
- Rustication from the institution for period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters
- Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specific period
- Collective punishment: When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment.
