Initially the department was functioning as an allied department. B.Sc. Mathematics was introduced in 1995, B.Sc Mathematics with Computer Applications in 2002 and M.Sc Mathematics in 2003 followed by a Research programme (M.Phil) in 2006.The department has Excellent academic record and number of students have obtained University Ranks. The faculty and students of Mathematics are continuously interested in conducting number of curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities for the development of students & teachers.
Creating a congenial environment to learn mathematical designs and to use mathematical knowledge for problem solving.
To motivate the students to upgrade their interests in contemporary mathematical techniques and to enable them to acquire the required knowledge to strengthen their analytical skills.
